Fall Boating

Fall Boating

Many boaters think that Labor Day signals the last days of summer and the end of the boating season.  They get their boats ready for winter, load their gear and store their dinghies until spring.  These boaters are missing out on some of the best boating days of the year; Fall Boating!  So what's so great about boating in the fall?  Sure, there's a definite crispness to the air as the sun rises later and sets earlier but the beauty of autumn is phenomenal. The leaves are changing color, geese are flying south, and the night sky is exceptionally bright with stars you can almost touch.  Fall festivals are in full swing and it's usually easier and less expensive to get a dock at the marinas that were too full over the summer.  Don't wait; get out there and enjoy these final days of boating even if you just launch your dinghy and take a leisurely ride around your own harbor.
